Winter Testing, New Designs, and a Global Milestone at TML Fun Creations

As we wrap up the third week of November, the shop has been bustling with activity. From cold-weather testing to preparing for holiday orders, there’s a lot to share. Here’s a look at what happened last week at TML Fun Creations.

✅ Solar Roof Test Success

I kicked off the week by running a fresh test with an Arlo solar panel. Even on a cloudy morning, it pulled a solid 7 volts. That’s great news for customers using solar-powered setups through winter.

Even better — cameras with built-in solar panels can now operate inside the housing without needing an external solar panel. This change gives you a cleaner install and fewer exposed components. I’ll continue making small design tweaks, but it’s officially working, which is always a win.

🏠 Progress on New Housings

Several updated and newly added designs moved forward this week:

A mounting-bracket option for the Ring roof that keeps the standard size without changing the look.
The new woven pot housing for the Ring Outdoor (Model 5CCEA8), blending naturally into indoor and covered outdoor spaces.
Lens-opening adjustments for cameras that sit slightly differently than expected.
Newly added housings for the Blink Outdoor Camera Version 4, Blink Mini 2, and Reolink Argus 3 Pro.

As always, nothing ships unless I have the camera here in the shop. Fit and function come first every single time.

🌍 A Big Milestone — Now Shipping Even Farther

We added two new countries to the TML Fun Creations shipping map: Switzerland and France. We also recently expanded into Australia, the United Kingdom, and Sweden.

I’m truly ecstatic and overjoyed by the support from all over the world. What started as a small idea in the shop has now reached places I never imagined. It’s all because of this amazing community. Thank you for helping this little company grow.

🎄 Holiday Season in Full Swing

Orders are coming in quickly, and printers are running daily to keep everything moving. Here are a few notes for holiday shoppers:

Custom colors are still available.
Covered-outdoor setups are recommended during winter months.
Ordering planters without plants helps keep shipping costs down.

It has involved some late nights… and plenty of coffee.
